SurfSide 61 is a celebration of the golden age of instrumental guitar music.

Surf Music, as it was called in the USA, originated in southern California in the early 60s along with the booming surfing craze.

In the UK a similar sound was happening led by The Shadows, who were hugely successful across the world with no less than 5 number one hits between 1960 and 1963.

SurfSide 61 was initially formed to present authentic versions of the music from this era at The 2017 Clonakilty International GuitarFestival.

After a resounding success at the festival SurfSide 61 has continued playing this music that inspired a generation of guitarists with an expanding repertoire that now includes original tunes from their upcoming album.
